We're a church in the heart of Lebanon.
And we have a heart for community.

We are parish of the United Methodist Church nestled in downtown Lebanon, Virginia—the heart of Russell County. And the heart of our ministry is to reach out in Christ-like love to all. Close to home and around the world, we are working for God's kingdom by touching lives with the transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ. We work with the poor, with those suffering from addiction, with those who have given up hope, so that they might find hope and strength in Jesus.

Come, worship with us!

Traditional Worship, Sundays at 9 & 11 a.m.
Adult Bible Study, Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.
Recovery at Lebanon, Thursday evenings starting at 6 p.m. at Lebanon Community Fellowhip

Our worship services focus on the Word of God and the Sacraments of the Gospel.

Take part in one of our two traditional worship services (9 & 11 a.m. Sundays). You will experience worship that is centered on Jesus, includes Biblical teaching, and offers frequent sacramental ministry.

The Word of God

We believe that hearing God's Word read and preached is a means of grace in which we experience God's presence and receive grace to grow in our faith as we learn to become more and more like Jesus.

All of our worship services include scripture reading and a sermon that is firmly rooted in the Bible and seeks to interpret God's Word for our lives today.

Holy Communion

We believe that Communion is a sacrament in which we receive all the life of God. In this Holy Mystery we are united to Christ and to one another and receive God's grace to help us become more and more like Jesus.

Communion is offered 1-2 times each month in our traditional services and every Sunday at The Foundry contemporary worship.

We believe that Baptism is the sacrament that incorporates us into the Body of Christ as we are united to the death and resurrection of Jesus. Baptism is a beginning to our journey of faith.

We baptize people of all ages, including infants. We believe that God's grace is poured out upon all who receive baptism, and that God continues to work within us to make us more and more like Jesus.

Christian Education

for adults and children

We offer a variety of opportunities for Christian Education. Adult Sunday School is offered with a variety of class options at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Children's Sunday School is offered during the 11 a.m. worship service. At the appropriate time children are invited forward for special time with the pastor and are then dismissed to go with their teachers for Sunday School. Children return to the sanctuary before the end of the service.

Bible Study

If you are interested in diving deep into the Word of God and learning more about how to read and interpret scripture, our Adult Bible Study is a great option for you! Join us at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays to engage in prayer, study, and conversation centered on God's Word and how it applies to our lives today.

Engaging Topical Study

Our Bible studies follow a couple of formats. One is topical study, in which we engage a current event or issue and study what God's Word has to teach us.

Book Studies

We also do in-depth studies of single books of the Bible. Studies in this format help us to delve into the depths of Scripture in order to more fully understand what God's Word is saying to us today.

We love kids!

At Lebanon Memorial, you will find vibrant, Christ-centered, loving ministry for children of all ages. Sunday school is offered during the 11 a.m. service, and we have tons of special events for kids throughout the year. Child care is lovingly provided from 10-12 a.m. each Sunday.

Recovery at Lebanon

Thursday nights, starting at 6 p.m. at Lebanon Community Fellowship

With our founding partner church, Lebanon Community Fellowship, and several other partner churches and community organizations, we reach out with the love of Jesus to those who struggle with addiction, compulsive behavior, or any other life challenge, along with their friends, family and allies. Child care is lovingly provided during all Recovery at Lebanon activities.

Join us for free dinner every Thursday night at 6:00. Partner churches and organizations provide food and fellowship for everyone who joins us.

Starting around 7:00, a special program is offered featuring contemporary Christian music and a message specially geared toward those who are struggling with addiction, compulsive behavior or other life challenges.

Small Groups

The real work of healing happens here. Right after the service join a small group focused on particular issues and struggles. In these groups you will encounter experience, strength, and hope.
